Our own wedding story: We planned our wedding while living in England, with the wedding to take place in August in Ottawa. We knew we wanted an ice cream cake for our wedding cake. Everyone said "you can't do that in the summer"...we did. (It was 3 heart shaped Dairy Queen ice cream cakes on a tiered cake stand, with plain white piped icing, and a cluster of real flowers on top to match my bouquet.) Everyone said "You can't have a brunch wedding! What about the first dance?" We didn't care if we didn't have a first dance - what we wanted was something unique and special, especially since we had a lot of guests who'd never visited Ottawa before. We had a beautiful Sunday brunch wedding at a country estate, editorial-style "urban photography" done in the streets of Ottawa as everyone walked down to the Ottawa River for a Boat Cruise with an open bar. We pleased ourselves first, and in the end, everyone was thrilled, saying it was one of the best weddings they'd ever attended.

We don’t like to limit our time at the wedding or charge per hour for our services, and we don’t limit the number of images taken on the day because we feel this limits our creativity – we take photos until we have captured the whole story of the wedding day.
We've learned from our past clients, and talking with brides who have been unhappy with their wedding photos taken by friends or amateur photographers, that it's important to invest in a professional photographer to capture the once-in-a-lifetime images of your wedding day.
